This professorship is one of two in the focus area Practical Philosophy. We research and teach on general questions of normative ethics and metanormativity, but also on more application-oriented topics such as obligations towards future generations, fairness in distribution and rescue conflicts, moral uncertainty, priorities in the face of global risks, inclusion and discrimination, as well as the social nature of moral obligations.
